Are you ready? Remember to click on the You Tube logo if you want to view it full screen. Now we can begin the color matching process by going to the Image menu, hovering over Adjustments, and clicking on Match Color. So without any further delays or jabbering on my part here is the video. Go to Image then Adjustments and Match Color, which matches colors in active layers. I have been working on some business flyers and the color matching came in very handy all the way through the project. You can do this by placing the two images side by side. It is a great thing to know when you are scrapbooking or for any type of project.

All the way to the right turns the selection white.I am back this week with another short Photoshop Elements tutorial. In this tutorial I’ll show you a unique approach to correcting mismatched colors quickly and intuitively. Slide this slider all the way to the left and the color becomes black. Lightness controls how dark or how light the color is. Make sure that the Preview box is checked so you can see the changes. Saturation controls the color’s intensity. To match the color of your layers, go to Image > Adjustments > Match Color. Don’t worry about the saturation, for now. From The Master drop-down menu we go to Yellow and we shift the hue to the left in order to match the color. Go to the document with the image to which you want to apply color and duplicate Background Layer (Layer > Duplicate Layer or use shortcut Cmd/Ctrl + J). The Hue slider allows you to pick the color you want. Quick tips: Photoshop color match Let’s select the green photo, and then add a new Hue-saturation adjustment. You can change the color with the sliders at the bottom.

However, if there is any color variance at all (such as shadows on the image) you’ll have to turn up the fuzziness a bit to include all the shades. The colors in this image are uniform so I can keep the fuzziness at 0.

A lower number restricts the selection to pixels that more closely match the one you click on. A higher number will select a broader color range. The Fuzziness slider controls how much range of the chosen color Photoshop will select. The one with no little icon next to it will create a new selection every time you click.

The eyedropper with the little plus next to it allows you to add to the selection and the one with the minus allows you to subtract from the selection. Adjust the selection with the eyedroppers and Fuzziness slider.
